I hope this finds you safe and well and I hope that it is going smoothly at home with all of the changes in our current climate. I have attached below a document that I hope you find helpful. It outlines a plan for the day to support your children with their home-learning, the timings are of course only a guide, but I hope it helps with the amount of time we would recommend on the different activities. At the bottom, there is a list of online programmes you can access for free. There are many companies which are allowing parents at home to access for free, services that you would usually pay for. I will be updating this list if I hear of any other websites you may find useful.
Each week we will provide you on Sunday evening with a collection of maths and English work for you to do with your child each week. As we stated before, how you plan your day with your child is what suits your household best. We have provided a timetable for you to use at your discretion with some guides on how you could plan your day and we hope that you have found that useful. We also spent time talking to the children about how to organise your day and expectations of work.
We understand that it will be difficult for you to mark and help them with their work each day. If you could Dojo your class teacher on each Friday and make them aware of scores they have achieved in the booklets or worksheet and if you would like, a small summary of anything they have done well with or anything they may have felt difficult and we will try and help and support as best as we can.
White rose has produced planning for parents at home which is the same scheme that we produce our planning from for maths. They have produced a video for each lesson and a worksheet that accompanies each video. This will be very familiar for the children as it is similar to what they would be doing in class. We will be using this alongside their booklets we have sent home with them.
It has been great seeing all your photos of learning that has been going on at home and I hope you are all safe and well.
