"Science and everyday life cannot and should not be separated."

- Rosalind Franklin, Chemist and X-ray Crystallographer.

At Fremington Primary School we recognise the importance of Science in every aspect of daily life. The curriculum fosters a healthy curiosity in children about our universe and promotes respect for the living and non-living. We believe science encompasses the acquisition of knowledge, concepts, skills and positive attitudes. Through the study of science, the children will acquire and develop key knowledge, as well as the application of scientific skills. Scientific skills are built-on and developed throughout children’s time at the school. Pupils will apply their knowledge of science when using equipment, conducting experiments, building arguments and explaining concepts confidently both in science and other curriculum areas. We aim that pupils will be equipped with the scientific skills required to understand the uses and implications of science, today and the future.
