Travelling to School
We are pleased to say that most of our children either walk, scoot or cycle to school. Each year we have the ‘Big Pedal’ project where we encourage as many children as possible to come to school without the use of a car. We have also taken part in the ‘Sustrans’ project which supported children in scooting to school.
We encourage our parents to bring children to school without the use of a car wherever possible. Not only is it better for the environment, it also helps to ease congestion around the school and makes the area safer for out children.
If you need to drive to the school please ensure that you park safely, not restricting driveways, parking on yellow lines or zig zags or dropped kerbs. We like to be good neighbours and encourage our families to park with consideration. There is space to park in the recreation ground car park which parents are able to use.
As our numbers grow we are seeking to run ‘walking bus services’ for children coming to our school.
