  • Year 2 at Northam Burrows

    Published 21/06/24

What a fantastic day of learning we had at Northam Burrows! The children went on a coastline walk looking at different coastal features, completed mini-missions in the dunes looking for different plants and animals, and then scrambled over Pebble Ridge to meet the lifeguards and find out about beach safety. The children managed so well in the heat, and we all had a thoroughly enjoyable day.

On Wednesday, Mr Downing and Mrs Gilbert had the pleasure of taking nine children to a cricket event held at Instow cricket ground. Over 300 children from schools across North Devon played four matches across the day. • Year 5 Eden Project

    Published 07/06/24

Year 5 had an awesome day at the Eden Project. We explored both the tropical and Mediterranean biomes throughout the day. We collected data about the sizes of the leaves and measured the temperature and humidity at different locations within the biomes. We then thought about how global warming would impact the growth of the plants in both climates. Some of us also braved the rope bridge up in the canopy walk! What a tiring, but amazing day!
