Our Learning

Definition of Learning

Learning is simply a change to long-term memory. The transfer of knowledge from the short to the long-term memory is supported through revisiting concepts and spacing them out whilst making connections.
Learning is the process of acquiring new understanding, knowledge, behaviours, skills, values, attitudes and preferences. It gives the children the confidence and ability to adapt in an
ever-changing 21st Century World and allows them to have confidence in who they are.
Learning occurs when we are able to:
• Gain a mental or physical grasp of the subject
• Make sense of a subject, event of feeling by interpreting it into our own words or actions
• Use our newly acquired ability or knowledge in conjunction with skills and understanding we already possess.
